Sugar Cane Growers Cooperative of Florida (SCGC), a leader in sugarcane harvesting, is seeking a Controls System Engineer to join their team in Belle Glade, FL.

If you have at least 5 years of experience in Controls System Engineering in a Heavy Industrial/Process Plant environment and a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or similar discipline this is an opportunity you don't want to miss!

  • Process control system design and maintenance to include PLC detail specification, configuration, and programming.
    • Maintain control system directories; create new displays and other supporting HMI development activities.
    • Support and maintain existing controls applications with upkeep, troubleshooting and creating new features.
    • Support small to mid-size controls projects to maintain design criteria, schedule, and budget.
    • Testing, commissioning, and start-up of systems.
    • Work cross-functionally with all functional groups to support, maintain, train, and improve manufacturing and other business processes.
    • Actively participate in plant wide HSE, quality and productivity initiatives.
    • Train employees on I & C topics and motivate hourly technicians to develop ownership skills.
    • PLCs system design to include, interfacing with MCC's, VFD's and Process Instrumentation.
