Job Summary
The information technology director is responsible for the overall
planning, organizing, and execution of all IT functions in all
locations. This includes directing all IT operations to meet
client
requirements as well as the support and maintenance of existing
applications and development of new technical solutions.
Duties and Responsibilities
The following duties and responsibilities mostly reflect the
expectations of this position but are not intended to be all
inclusive.
- Accomplishes information technology staff results by
communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and
appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining
employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems,
policies, and procedures.
- Maintains and oversees telephony and Internet circuits (SIP, MPLS
and VPN Tunnels)
- Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training
employees; maintaining a safe and secure work environment;
developing personal growth opportunities
- Maintains organization's effectiveness and efficiency by
defining, delivering, and supporting strategic plans for
implementing information technologies
- Directs technological research by studying organization goals,
strategies, practices, and user projects
- Completes projects by coordinating resources and timetables with
user departments and data center
- Verifies application results by conducting system audits of
technologies implemented
- Preserves assets by implementing disaster recovery and back-up
procedures and information security and control structures
- Recommends information technology strategies, policies, and
procedures by evaluating organization outcomes; identifying
problems; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements
- Accomplishes financial objectives by forecasting requirements;
preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing
variances; initiating corrective action
- Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing
organization standards
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending
educational workshops; reviewing professional publications;
establishing personal networks; benchmarking state of-the-art
practices; participating in professional societies
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as
needed
- Takes turns in 24/7 On-call rotation schedule
- Be available to answer questions from Team Leads and all staff
with regards to emergencies and other IT issues.
- Be open to constructive feedback, be a team player, be receptive
to coaching and learning

- Knowledge of call center software and hardware including but not
limited to dial-up modems, SMS modems, IP phones, CRM systems, and
VoIP trunks
- Troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repairs/fixes of any network,
hardware and software related problems.
- Support Dell servers (maintenance, upgrades)
- Cloud knowledge (AWS) is a plus
- Basic understanding of UPS and power generators is a plus
- Basic knowledge of Linux (CentOS/Debian) is a plus
- Work weekends, holidays if necessary
- Perform other duties assigned by management
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in CS, EE or equivalent
- Excellent communication, oral and written skills
- 3+ years' experience in the planning, installing, and maintaining
of local area networks.
- Industry recognized certifications preferred (MCSE, CCNA,
Server+, Net+, Linux+, and other relevant for this job)
- Advanced level proficiency with the following technologies:
Microsoft server and database products
- Cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Virtualization (private and public cloud)
- Networks and firewalls (Cisco, Fortinet)
- VoIP technologies and concepts
- Windows (10/11), MacOS and familiarity with common desktop
applications
Tools and Equipment Used
Computer, phone, digital communicators/messengers, email, database
applications, scanning equipment, copy machine, fax, other company,
and client technology software
