We are looking for a skilled, motivated Medical Billing collector to join our team. This position is responsible for the collection of amounts owed to the practice. Our medical billing office verifies patient insurance eligibility and benefits, processes and documents transactions on patient and insurance accounts, and completes and maintains credentialing for providers. You will be working in a team environment. Excellent opportunity for the right person.ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Initiate collection calls and use other outreach methods to ensure payment is received for services rendered.
• Monitor unpaid balances, denials on insurance claims and account delinquency.
• Consult supervisor, team members and appropriate resources to solve collection questions and issues.
• Function as an intermediary between healthcare providers, patients, and health insurance companies.
• Follow established guidelines for Medicare, Medicaid, and other insurer billing and collections.
  
  Requirements:
  QUALIFICATIONS
  • Positive, friendly, polite personality.
  • Collector experience.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Coding and billing experience (CPT Coding).
  • Medical office or hospital experience is preferred.
  • Kareo Health software experience a plus.
  • Experience with behavioral billing preferred.
  • Multi-tasking skills.
