Job SummaryIn this position, the pharmacist is a key member of the multidisciplinary healthcare team in a fast-paced ambulatory care/clinical/community pharmacy setting. Whole Family Health Center relies on the pharmacist to deliver compassionate, quality, cost-effective pharmaceutical care in accordance with state and federal laws. Our clinic locations provide a wide range of services including pediatrics, family medicine, HIV care, behavioral health, research, community outreach, and pharmacy. All duties and responsibilities are essential functions and requirements and are subject to possible modification to reasonably accommodate individuals with disabilities. This is a position of trust. Communication Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required for this position. Must communicate professionally, effectively, and courteously with patients and staff. The ability to communicate in Spanish, Creole, or both is a plus. Key Responsibilities:

• Complies with the board of pharmacy, state, and federal law, ensuring all pharmacy personnel complies with all requirements. Conduct internal audits, maintain appropriate records, and supervise the work of all support staff.
• Responsible for driving overall compliance and business results of the pharmacy across operations, quality, clinical outcomes, and growth.
• Enhances staff pharmacologic knowledge through clinical programs and provides drug information to staff, interns, and healthcare professionals. Efficiently prioritizes dispensing and clinical duties with minimal supervision.
• Carries out pharmacist duties, including drug therapy reviews, prescription verification, and medication management. Reviews, interprets, and accurately dispenses prescribed medications.
• Models and share customer service best practices. Monitor and lead customer service initiatives to continuously improve quality and patient care. Resolves customer complaints.
• Monitors drug therapies, advising providers of potential interactions and contraindications.
• Assist patients with medication adherence issues due to insurance/financial and other life challenges.
• Maintains current licensure and stays updated on new drugs, devices, and medical literature to promote evidence-based medicine.
• Communicate regularly with team members and make hiring, promotion, and performance management decisions. Promotes teamwork and leads the pharmacy team in achieving WFHC pharmacy mission and goals.
• Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Demonstrates commitment to the pursuit of lifelong learning by attending professional meetings, regularly reviewing medical publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
• Assists with monitoring protocols, and efficient and effective internal controls for the 340B Drug Program.
• Works as a multidisciplinary team connecting patients to available medical and patient care resources available at WFHC.
• May occasionally need to travel from one clinic to another for coverage. Education & Training:
• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree highly preferred.
• Current Florida Pharmacist license in good standing, or the ability to obtain a Florida Pharmacy license within 60 days of the start date if licensed in good standing in another state. Experience:
• Minimum of 3 years of pharmacy management experience required in a retail pharmacy or community health center.
• Knowledge and experience with the 340B drug program preferred.
• Experience in Infectious Disease and/or HIV Medicine preferred. Requirements:
• Level 2 background clearance required
