Job Description Job Description Mechanical Estimator Mechanical Estimator Position Overview We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed estimates for mechanical systems in various projects, including those within medical centers and hospitals. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, budgeting, and project management to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget. Key Responsibilities - Review and analyze project plans and specifications to prepare accurate mechanical estimates. - Develop detailed cost estimates for HVAC, plumbing, and other mechanical systems. - Collaborate with project managers and engineers to understand project requirements and constraints. - Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions and gather data for estimates. - Prepare bid proposals and present them to clients and management. - Maintain a database of costs and pricing information for future reference. - Monitor project costs and assist in budget management throughout the project lifecycle. Qualifications - Proven experience as a Mechanical Estimator, with a strong understanding of estimating processes. - Familiarity with mechanical systems, including HVAC and plumbing. - Experience working on projects in medical centers or hospital environments is preferred. - Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. - Excellent communication and negotiation skills. - Proficiency in estimation software and tools.
