Job Description A leading transportation and logistics
organization is expanding its operations and seeking an experienced
Fleet Safety Manager to strengthen compliance programs and drive a
culture of safety and operational excellence. This is an exciting
opportunity to join a growing team that provides nationwide
delivery of temperature-controlled products and is deeply committed
to reliability, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Position Overview The Fleet Safety Manager will oversee all DOT and
FMCSA compliance initiatives , ensuring that fleet operations meet
and exceed federal, state, and internal safety standards. This
leader will develop training programs, monitor compliance data, and
serve as a key liaison between operations and senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities Lead and maintain DOT/FMCSA compliance
programs , including DQ files, hours of service (HOS), electronic
logging devices (ELDs), vehicle inspections, and IFTA/IRP
documentation Conduct safety audits and support regulatory
inspections Investigate compliance or incident issues and drive
corrective action plans Update policies and procedures to reflect
regulatory changes Develop and deliver driver and staff training
focused on safety awareness and accountability Track and present
compliance metrics, trends, and improvement opportunities to
leadership Qualifications 7 years of experience in transportation
safety, fleet compliance, or risk management In-depth knowledge of
FMCSA and DOT regulations Proven ability to lead teams, implement
compliance systems, and foster safety-first culture Bachelor's
degree preferred; professional certifications (CCEP, CRCM, or
equivalent) a plus Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred
