Job Description Job Description Job Summary: The Senior Designer
is responsible for leading design efforts, overseeing the
preparation of construction documents, and mentoring junior staff.
This role involves managing design projects from concept to
completion, with an emphasis on technical accuracy, client
satisfaction, and coordination with consultants. Primary Essential
Functions: Lead the development of design concepts, working closely
with clients and internal teams to translate client needs into
innovative architectural solutions. Prepare detailed construction
documents, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and
technical specifications, ensuring compliance with codes and
standards. Oversee the coordination of building systems (e.g.,
structural, mechanical, electrical) with consultants, ensuring
seamless integration into the architectural design. Review design
drawings, specifications, and other project documentation for
accuracy, quality, and alignment with project goals. Serve as a
mentor to junior designers, providing guidance on design, technical
issues, and professional development. Manage project schedules and
resources, ensuring that design milestones are met on time and
within budget. Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and
consultants during the construction phase to address design-related
challenges and ensure adherence to design intent. Participate in
client presentations and meetings, effectively communicating design
concepts and project updates. Secondary Essential Functions:

(Knowledge, Skills, Abilities): Knowledge In-depth knowledge of
architectural design principles, building systems, and construction
methods. Familiarity with building codes, zoning regulations, and
industry standards. Knowledge of sustainable design principles and
certifications (e.g., LEED). Strong understanding of project
documentation processes and construction administration. Awareness
of current industry trends and best practices in architectural
design. Skills Proficiency in architectural software (Revit,
AutoCAD) for creating construction documents. Leadership and
mentoring skills for guiding junior team members. Excellent
technical drafting and detailing skills for producing accurate
construction documents. Strong communication skills for client
interactions and team collaboration. Effective project management
skills for overseeing design schedules and resources. Abilities
Ability to lead design teams and manage complex design tasks from
concept to completion. Ability to ensure compliance with building
codes, regulations, and project requirements. Ability to oversee
the coordination of building systems with consultants and
contractors. Ability to communicate effectively with clients,
consultants, and project teams. Ability to manage multiple projects
and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. Qualifications:
Required Bachelor’s degree in Architecture Preferred Master’s
degree in Architecture. Pursuit of architectural licensure.
Experience with large or complex projects. Physical Requirements:
Ability to remain seated for extended periods while working at a
computer or attending meetings. Frequent use of standard office
equipment, including computers, keyboards, telephones, and
printers. Occasional light physical activity such as walking,
standing, or carrying materials (up to 25 lbs.). Ability to
communicate clearly and effectively in person, over the phone, and
