Job Description:
Essential Duties:
--- Manage the monthly financial close process: ensure all costs
incurred are properly recorded, reconcile account balances, prepare
and post journal entries, and complete report preparations timely
and accurately
--- Maintain, document, and review processes for internal
controls
--- Maintains books and records on all company transactions and
assets in accordance with accounting policies and procedures
--- Prepares reports that outline the company's financial position
in the areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past,
present, and future operations
--- Assist CFO in selected planning activities and assists the
Company's tax accountant with the preparation of corporate federal,
state, and local income tax and intangible tax returns
--- Furnishes internal and external reports as required. Revises
and updates report to be more useful and efficient
--- Assists CFO in establishing major economic objectives and
setting accounting policies for the company
Responsibilities:
--- Establish and maintain the objectives, methods, and resources
of all financial operations of our company. Recording the daily
accounting activities of the company
--- Prepare the accounting, budgeting, and other financial
operations. Includes providing administrative and technical
supervision to all financial operations (company, project, related
companies) to ensure corporate financial data is as accurate as
possible. All accruals booked
--- Recommend, establish, and maintain a documented system of
corporate policies and procedures relating to the financial and
business practices of the company
--- Coordinate the processing and distribution of financial data
required by Managers and Executives to establish and maintain
operating budgets and related controls procedures
--- Interface with all projects and cost centers and related
companies to ensure administrative requirements are met;
investigate and/or help resolve any Bonding, Banking, Insurance,
Legal, or other financial/accounting-related matters
--- Monitor the financial operations of the company, cost centers,
related companies, or assigned area to ensure compliance with prior
budgets and oversee any adjustments to future budgets
--- Oversee the preparation of required Federal and State tax,
payroll, and other financial reports as well as financial and
related reports to third parties
--- Assist the CFO and oversee, manage, and coordinate the
communication of financial information with outside CPA
--- Responsible for all Human Resources functions including
onboarding and file maintenance
Qualifications:
--- Previous experience in accounting management
--- Fundamental knowledge of GAAP
--- Strong leadership qualities
--- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
--- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
--- Deadline and detail-oriented
