Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Pay bills; receive money; reconcile bank accounts; assure expenditures are in accordance with code balances for item acquisition; reconcile A/R in ProCare to MAS Inform supervisor of the balances of internal accounts. Conduct invoice activities and pay vendors for delivered materials and services. Ensure that invoices are correct regarding material quantity/quality specifications; review invoices listed prices; make necessary pricing adjustments; make computer entries and cut checks for vendors. Interact with field management to ensure compliance with deposit processes and reconciliations, NSF checks and follow-upEnter data, type, handle phone calls and incoming mail; maintain filesMay be called upon to prepare correspondence and report; serve as the receptionistProvide analysis of accounts as requested by CFO or Corporate Controller Ensure that all accounting activities operate consistently and ethically within the values and mission of Children of AmericaPassionate about Children of America's mission and able to promote and communicate the philosophy mission and values of Children of America to external and internal stakeholders.Other duties as assignedSupervisionWorks under the direct supervision of the Accounting SupervisorThis position does not supervise other personnel.Job QualificationsProven success in the following job competencies:Analysis and ReportingCommunication and PresentationCustomer Focus and Relationship BuildingProblem Solving and Decision MakingProfessional ExpertiseWork ExperienceA minimum of three to five years of experience with primary responsibility for accounting in the areas of A/P and GL entryExperience working with vendors and employeesKnowledge of accounting practices and principlesKnowledge of state and federal laws relating to key areas of responsibilityEducationBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or related field or equivalent experience required.Licenses or DesignationsNot required.OtherIntermediate MS OfficeIntermediate desktop publishing and document management softwareIntermediate to Excellent MASWorking ConditionsPhysical Work DemandsAble to sit and work at a computer keyboard for extended periods of timeAble to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist and reach on a daily basisAble to perform general office administrative activities: copying, filing, delivering and using the telephone, computer entryAble to lift and move up to 25 pounds occasionallyMental Work DemandsRegular and on-time attendanceHours may exceed 40 hours per weekNote: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
